Manitoba Mopar Association | Our Charity

The Manitoba Mopar Association selected the Movement Centre of Manitoba as our charity of choice in 2008. The Movement Centre provides opportunities for Manitobans with motor challenges resulting from cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, head injury, and Parkinson' disease to maximize thier independence.

The net proceeds from our annual Mopar and Friends Canada Day show are donated to the Movement Centre to help them fund programs for those with mobility issues. Between 2008 and 2010, almost $4500 was raised and we look forward to adding to this total in the years to come!

MMA President Morgan Turney presents a cheque for $2426.01 representing the proceeds of the 2009 Mopar and Friends Canada Day show
to Marjorie Nelson of the Movement Centre of Manitoba.

The 2009 Mopar and Friends Canada Day show sponsored by Gauthier Chrysler Dodge Jeep had a record turnout of over 200 cars.
The parking lot was full and we raised an impressive $2426 for the Movement Centre of Manitoba.

The MMA would like to thank:
Gauthier Chrysler Dodge Jeep,
The LX Club of Manitoba,
The Manitoba Mustang Association and
the River City PT Cruisers
and everyone else who attended for supporting the show and the Movement Centre.

All of the volunteers and especially Brian Hampton deserve accolades for all their hard work putting on the show.
