About the Manitoba Mopar Association

The Manitoba Mopar Association is a group of enthusiasts dedicated to the enjoyment of Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, Desoto and AMC built motor vehicles. The club was officially formed in 1992 and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in September 1995. The current MMA membership is in the order of 125 members consisting of hobbyists, collectors and drag racers. Member vehicles range from vintage cruisers, muscle cars and trucks to race cars and modern Mopars. We enjoy the hobby and feel a responsibly to showcase our vehicles for the enjoyment of the public and to help promote a positive image for the car club community.

The MMA is also dedicated to the efforts of raising funds for the Movement Centre of Manitoba. Since 2008 over $10,000 has been raised through our annual Mopar and Friends Canada Day show to help the Movement Centre fund programs for those with mobility issues.

Membership dues are $35.00 annually which entitles the member to participate at our events, receive the club newsletter, window decal, membership card and discounts at various participating automotive retailers. The newsletter is published and mailed out to members 3 times per year. We actively encourage members to submit articles and photos to either the newsletter or the website.

Our general meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month. During the cruising season, the meeting location varies depending on the cruise destination. During the cruising off-season we try to incorporate indoor activities such as shop and museum tours or events such as indoor kart racing into our meetings. In addition to the monthly meetings we organize the annual Mopar and Friends Canada Day show, the annual Labour Day Mopar show, a club display in the World of Wheels, a family BBQ and an annual drag race. On an informal basis, we also attend various car shows organized by other clubs. Event schedule details are published in the newsletter and can be found on the MMA Scat Schedule webpage.
